Apple has made another high-profile move in its push to become relevant in the battle over television content. The tech giant has landed a new show starring actresses Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon that will deal with the drama that goes into making morning television happen.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that the deal is for a straight-to-series, two-season order of 20 episodes for the untitled drama. Aniston and Witherspoon will star, executive produce and co-own the show alongside Michael Ellenberg’s Media Res company, which produces the show for Apple.

THR did not report the cost, in which Apple outbid multiple suitors, but sources described the price tag as “comparable to other premium fare with big stars attached.”

Aniston has not had a regular TV series starring role since “Friends,” and Witherspoon is fresh off the award-winning success of HBO’s “Big Little Lies.” Witherspoon once starred as the sister to Aniston’s Rachel Green character on “Friends” back in 2000.

Apple previously picked up Steven Spielberg’s 10-episode reboot of the sci-fi anthology series “Amazing Stories,” Variety reported last month.
