Donio, previously president of Concur and a Twilio board member, will be replaced by former Gartner exec effective immediately. She’ll continue her role as an Axiom board member.

Donio told GeekWire that she wanted to return to the West Coast and find “a more pure software focus.” She doesn’t have any firm plans on her next step.

During her stint with Axiom, Donio helped oversee an organizational restructuring and an investment from Permira Funds.

“Axiom is ready to take the industry by storm,” Donio said in a press release. “We’re now well-positioned to crack into new types of legal work, add breadth and depth to our network of legal talent, and see the potential unearthed by our investment in technology. David’s operational wisdom, strategic vision, and customer-centricity make him the right person to lead the way.”

Donio is one of several Concur veterans to lead a company as CEO. Others include Concur co-founder Rajeev Singh, who leads Accolade; Christal Bemont, who leads Talend; Brian Camposano, who leads Stratify; and others. Concur sold to SAP in 2014 for more than $8 billion.
