Can someone please explain this creep-tastic ad for Nokia’s Windows 8 tablet?

Nokia actually needs its new Nokia Lumia 2520 pill to succeed. There’s a very good purpose for that: in spite of everything, they don’t need their Windows RT pill to go the best way of the Floor RT. So, what higher technique to encourage customers to purchase than to provide them nightmares?

Sure, that’s an official ad for the 2520, full with a creepy barber, mysterious hair progress, an ominous assistant, and the return of the mullet. The purpose of the ad is that the 2520 is prepared for each enterprise and enjoyable, just like the mullet was imagined to be. It’s a far cry from their final ad, which appears extremely tame by comparison.

Nonetheless, it’s been some time since “enterprise within the entrance, occasion within the again” has been a modern assertion, and this creepy hairdresser’s unusual magic doesn’t appear to be a good way to deliver that again.

It’ll be attention-grabbing to see if Nokia brings this identical sensibility with them to Microsoft. It may make these seemingly ever-present “Scroogled” ads a bit extra attention-grabbing.
