Facebook says it has fixed an outage that lasted for about two hours throughout a few of its companies on Friday. The outage, which Facebook says was brought on by a configuration change, impacted Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Office and affected individuals all over the world.
“We’re so sorry in case you weren’t capable of entry our merchandise over the last couple of hours,” Facebook said on Twitter. “We all know how a lot you rely on us to speak with each other. We fixed the difficulty — thanks once more on your endurance this week.”
The outage follows an enormous one on Monday, which took down Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and Oculus for nearly six hours. In an evidence posted the day after, Facebook stated the spine connecting the corporate’s information facilities all over the world was inadvertently shut down. The outage was intensive sufficient that it even broke internal systems used by Facebook employees, forcing them to show to company-provided Outlook accounts to speak as an alternative.
Friday’s outage was not associated to the one which passed off Monday, Facebook says.
