Former MTV Networks CEO Judy McGrath is becoming a member of the Amazon board of administrators, boosting the corporate’s Hollywood credentials at a time when Amazon is trying to compete aggressively in digital music and streaming video.
The corporate disclosed McGrath’s election to the board in an SEC filing this morning. She brings the overall variety of Amazon administrators to 10, and he or she is also becoming a member of the Amazon board’s Management Improvement and Compensation Committee.
McGrath was CEO of MTV Networks, a Viacom subsidiary, from 2004 to 2011, and has most not too long ago been engaged on a three way partnership with Sony Music Leisure known as Astronauts Wanted * No experience necessary.
As a part of her election to the board, she was granted 2,520 shares of Amazon inventory, vesting over the three years beginning in August 2015.
