Netflix is a leading Oscar contender as ‘Roma’ scores 10 nominations for the streaming service

Netflix is not going to solely be representing the streaming companies at this 12 months’s Academy Awards, will probably be leading the means amongst all contenders as it picked up 10 Oscar nominations on Tuesday for “Roma.”

Netflix obtained its first-ever greatest image nomination, as “Roma” — a black and white movie about life in Seventies Mexico — was one among eight footage to make the prime class.

Different nominations for “Roma” included star Yaliza Aparicio for greatest actress, director Alfonso Cuarón, and greatest cinematography and unique screenplay.

Netflix additionally collected nominations for “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs,” a Coen Brothers movie. The gathering of Wild West tales was acknowledged for tailored screenplay, unique track and costume design.
