‘The Oatmeal’ backs plan to reintroduce grizzlies in Washington park and new comic urges fans to help

Matthew Inman, creator of the favored comic “The Oatmeal,” is leveraging his power in numbers to try to strengthen the numbers when it comes to grizzly bears in Washington’s North Cascades Nationwide Park.

In a new comic, Inman is directing his readers to be taught extra a couple of Division of the Inside program that might reintroduce grizzlies to the North Cascades. Overhunting and lack of habitat over the yeas have left fewer than 10 of the bears in the park, northeast of Seattle the place Inman lives.

The artist says he has teamed with two non-profit organizations to gas the grizzly effort. They wanted $25,000 (which he ponied up) and 50,000 feedback on the DOI website (which he’s hoping to get from his fans).

Inman supplied pattern feedback in his comic that readers can reduce and paste. And the timeline, which was set to expire on Tuesday, has been prolonged till April 28.
